Hybrid Guitar Power Amp 45W
« : Марта 26, 2009, 09:51:37 am »
Hi guys, I was designing guitar amp for my self, and I need some advice from more experienced guys.
So here is the schematic, please tell me if something wrong or need to be changed?
Here are the questions:
1.Can somebody give me formula for calculating bias current of
MOSFET-s
2.Where to measure it,
3.Could somebody calculate me bias current on the MOSFET's?

Thanks

What about negative feedback? Is bias transistor fet (lol!)? Connect R9 and R10 to incomplete zobel circuit at output.

1 - Dial bias from zero сurrent! Check output wave form with oscilloscope. The distorted part of the waveform is called "crossover" or "notch" distortion. In a pure class B amplifier the output transistors are not "biased" to an "ON" state of operation. This means that the the part of the waveform which falls within this about volt window will not be reproduced accurately. See below:

If the temperature of the FET is above 25C, the transistor's "safe" current carrying capabilities will be reduced. The safe operating area continues to be diminished as the temperature rises (see datasheets). As the temperature approaches the maximum safe operating temperature, the transistor's current rating approaches zero (FET only!).
2 - across R9, R10
3 - approx "0" - see answer #1
